Home Made Hand Sanitiser

Have you noticed with the outbreak of corona virus that you can’t buy hand sanitiser anywhere?

Never fear – it’s pretty easy to make your own – with or without isopropyl alcohol.  The aloe vera is moisturising without greasiness.  The witch hazel and tea tree oil both have antiseptic qualities but the isopropyl alcohol kills 99.99 % or more of all non-spore forming bacteria in less than 30 seconds.

Ingredients

75 g pure aloe vera

5 tablespoons witch hazel

20 drops of tea tree oil

1½  tablespoons of isopropyl alcohol (optional)

Instructions

Place aloe vera into a jug, add witch hazel, tea tree oil, isopropyl alcohol (optional) and stir with a fork

Pour from the jug into a suitable container and use without water to sanitise your hands!
